| 2 cups | all-purpose flour | 500 mL |
| 2 tbsp | sugar | 30 mL |
| 1 tbsp | baking powder | 15 mL |
| 1 tsp | salt | 5 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | cinnamon | 2 mL |
| 1 | egg | 1 |
| 3 tbsp | melted butter | 50 mL |
| 3 cups | milk | 700 mL |
| 3/4 cup | grated apple (2 medium apples, peeled) | 175 mL |
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon directly into a large mixer bowl.
Beat egg in a bowl for 1 minute. Add melted butter and milk. Pour over dry ingredients and beat just until blended.
Add grated apple to batter.
Bake on preheated griddle until brown on both sides. Turn only once during baking. Serve hot with maple syrup.
