| 1/4 cup | melted butter | 60 mL |
| 1 cup | sherry | 250 mL |
| 1 cup | pineapple juice | 250 mL |
| 2 tsp | ground cloves | 10 mL |
| 1/4 cup | dry mustard | 60 mL |
| 1/4 cup | firmly packed brown sugar | 60 mL |
| 2 tsp | paprika | 10 mL |
| 1 clove | garlic, minced | 1 clove |
| 1 | center-cut slice ham, 1-in/2-cm thick | 1 |
Combine the melted butter, sherry, pineapple juice, cloves, mustard, brown sugar, paprika, and garlic. Slash edges of ham and marinate in this mixture for at least 3 hours, turning several times.
Grill over low to medium coals for 20 minutes, basting frequently with marinade and turning occasionally. Carve ham into individual portions and serve hot.
