| 5 cups | pitted, quartered, fresh plums, drained | 1 L |
| 1/4 cup | packed brown sugar | 60 mL |
| 1/2 cup | all-purpose flour | 125 mL |
| 1 cup | granulated sugar | 250 mL |
| 1/4 tsp | salt | 1 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | ground cinnamon | 2 mL |
| 1/4 tsp | ground nutmeg | 1 mL |
| 1/2 cup | butter | 125 mL |
| 1/2 cup | chopped almonds | 125 mL |
| whipped cream, for garnish |
Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C.
Butter a shallow 8-cups/2-L baking dish. Place plums in prepared baking dish.
Fit the steel knife blade into the food processor bowl.
Combine brown sugar, flour, granulated sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter in the work bowl. Process until crumbly and mixed well. Add almonds. Mix with 2 or 3 quick on/off turns.
Sprinkle mixture evenly over plums. Bake about 40 minutes until top is golden brown.
Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.
