| 1 lb | softened margarine or butter | 450 g |
| 3 cups | sugar | 700 mL |
| 6 | eggs | 6 |
| 4 cups | all purpose flour | 950 mL |
| 3/4 cup | milk | 175 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | vanilla | 2 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | almond extract | 2 mL |
Cream margarine or butter and gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Continue beating adding one egg at a time.
Gradually add flour alternately with milk and the extracts. Beat 1 minute at high speed.
Pour into a greased and floured tube or bundt pan.
Bake in a 300°F/150°C oven for 2 hours. Cool in pan. Do not invert while hot.
