| 3/4 cup | brown sugar | 175 mL |
| 1/3 cup | soft margarine | 75 mL |
| 1 tsp | vanilla | 5 mL |
| 1/2 cup | whole wheat flour | 125 mL |
| 1 tsp | ground cinnamon | 5 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | baking soda | 2 mL |
| 1/4 tsp | salt | 1 mL |
| 1-3/4 cups | rolled oats | 425 mL |
| 1/2 cup | raisins | 125 mL |
| 1/4 cup | water | 50 mL |
In a medium bowl, beat sugar, margarine and vanilla together for 3 to 4 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, soda and salt together. Add to sugar mixture; mix well.
Stir in rolled oats, raisins and water.
Drop by tablespoons about 2-in/5-cm apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a non-stick cookie sheet.
Bake in 350°F/180°C oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden around the edges.
