Ingredients
| 1 cup | pickled red cabbage, drained | 250 mL |
| 1 cup | grated tart apples (like Granny Smith) | 250 mL |
| 1/2 cup | grated raw carrots | 125 mL |
| 2 tbsp | chopped walnuts | 30 mL |
| 1 tbsp | mayonnaise | 15 mL |
| 1/2 tbsp | horseradish sauce | 7 mL |
| 1 tsp | chopped dill (optional) | 5 mL |
| salt, pepper - to taste (optional) |
Directions
Mix all ingredients without mashing the cabbage to keep it crunchy, chill before serving.
Chef's Note
Not your average cole slaw!
Regular cabbage instead of red, and mustard instead of horseradish sauce may be used, but the original ingredients work the best. Adjust the amount of mayonnaise if comes out too dry or too watery to your taste.
