Ingredients
| 2 | broilers, cut up | 2 |
| 1/4 cup | butter | 60 mL |
| 3 | cloves garlic, minced | 3 |
| 1 | onion, minced | 1 |
| 1 cup | ketchup | 250 mL |
| 2 tbsp | Worcestershire sauce | 30 mL |
| 1/4 cup | cider vinegar | 60 mL |
| 1/4 cup | sugar | 60 mL |
| 1 tsp | salt | 5 mL |
| 1/2 cup | water | 125 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | savory | 3 mL |
Directions
Brown the chicken in melted butter. Lift out and place in a baking dish. Add the garlic, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, sugar, salt, water and savory to the butter in the frying pan. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
Cover and bake in a 350°F/180°C oven 1-1/4 hours. Baste 3 or 4 times during cooking.
