Ingredients

6 whole apples 6
  juice of 1 lemon  
3/4 cup mayonnaise 175 mL
3/4 cup sour cream 175 mL
1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice 7 mL
1/2 tbsp sugar 7 mL
1/2 tsp salt 2 mL
  Pinch ground white pepper  
1 cup chopped celery 250 mL
3/4 cup chopped walnuts 175 mL
12 leaf lettuce leaves 12
12 walnut halves 12
24 orange segments 24

Directions

Quarter, core, peel, and slice the apples. Place them in a bowl and mix with the lemon juice; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Just before serving, add the apples, celery, and walnuts. Serve on a leaf of lettuce and garnish each serving with a walnut half and 2 orange segments.
