Ingredients
| 2 1/2 lb | round steak, 1-in/2-cm thick | 1.1 kg |
| salt and pepper | ||
| flour | ||
| 1 | small onion, sliced | 1 |
| 3 tbsp | vegetable oil | 45 mL |
| 1/2 | bell pepper, chopped | 1/2 |
| 2 cups | canned tomatoes | 500 mL |
Directions
Sprinke steak with salt and pepper, pound flour into it.
Cook onion in hot oil; brown steak in same oil.
Add other ingredients; cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or bake for about 2 hours on 375°F/190°C.
Serve with the thickened gravy.
Chef's Note
DELICIOUS!!!!! I serve this with rice or mashed potatoes...
