Ingredients
| 3/4 lb | butter (3 sticks) | 350 g |
| 3 cups | sugar | 700 mL |
| 5 | eggs | 5 |
| 3 cups | all-purpose flour | 700 mL |
| 1 cup | 7-Up soda | 250 mL |
| 1 tbsp | lemon extract | 15 mL |
| 1 tsp | vanilla | 5 mL |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325°F/160°C. Grease and lightly flour a 10-in/25-cm tube pan.
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the flour. Add the lemon extract and vanilla. Beat well. Gently fold in the 7-Up, 1/4 cup at a time.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 1-1/2 hours.
