Ingredients
| 2 cups | all purpose flour | 475 mL |
| 3/4 cup | sugar | 175 mL |
| 1-1/2 tsp | baking powder | 7 mL |
| 1 tsp | salt | 5 mL |
| 1/2 tsp | baking soda | 2 mL |
| 1 cup | cranberries, coarsely chopped | 250 mL |
| 1/2 cup | walnuts, chopped | 125 mL |
| 1 | egg, beaten | 1 |
| 1-1/2 cups | applesauce | 350 mL |
| 2 tbsp | salad oil | 30 mL |
Directions
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Stir in cranberries and chopped walnuts.
Combine the egg, applesauce and salad oil, and then add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Bake in greased loaf pan (9-X5-X3-in/23-X13-X8-cm) at 350°F/180°C for 50 minutes.
