Ingredients
| 1 1/4 lbs | beef, finely chopped | 550 g |
| 1 | large egg, beaten | 1 |
| 2 oz | Gruyère cheese, grated | 50 g |
| 2 tbsp | fresh parsley, chopped | 30 mL |
| 1 | medium onion, finely chopped | 1 |
| 1/2 tsp | Tabasco sauce | 2 mL |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil | 30 mL |
| salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions
Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix very thoroughly. Roll into a ball. Divide the ball into 4 smaller balls of equal size and flatten them to the desired thickness.
Cook the hamburgers over a very hot fire for about 10 minutes, turning them frequently.
